Suzuki Motor Corporation has revealed that they will introduce the 2023 V-Strom SX, manufactured in India, to the Japanese market. Starting from August 24, 2023, people in Japan can get their hands on this motorcycle. The bike will come in three different colors: Champion Yellow Number Two, Pearl Blaze Orange, and Glass Sparkle Black. Its price has been set at JPY 569,800, which is approximately Rs. 3.27 lakh.
The features and specifications of the V-Strom SX 250 heading to Japan are exactly the same as the model designed for India.
So, it runs on a 249cc, one-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces a highest power of 26.1bhp and a highest twisting force of 22.2Nm. This engine is paired with a six-speed transmission. Additionally, it moves on a mix of 19 and 17-inch alloy wheels and these wheels have tubeless tires. It also comes with telescopic front forks, a single shock absorber at the rear, and disc brakes on both the front and back wheels.
The Japanese version of the motorcycle employs the same engine found in the Indian variant. Specifically, the V-Strom 250 SX utilizes the Gixxer 250’s 249 cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, SOHC engine. This engine generates 26.5PS of power and 22.2Nm of torque, and it’s linked to a 6-speed gearbox. While the Gixxer’s seat height is just 35 mm lower than its total height of 835 mm, a notable aspect is the front suspension travel, which is only 120 mm. This is surprising given that the V-Strom 250 SX boasts a commendable ground clearance of 205mm. The motorcycle features 19-inch and 17-inch tires at the front and rear respectively.
The Suzuki V-Strom SX comes with a completely digital display that offers turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth link, and details like call notices, message notifications, speed limit alerts, phone battery status, and estimated time of arrival (ETA). Moreover, it includes Suzuki’s Easy Start feature and a USB charging point.
